| Darlene D’Arezzo,
voted "Best Kids' Yoga Teacher" (LA Weekly), is a frequently sought
after subject expert, educator, and writer, as well as a pioneer in the
field of yoga for children with special needs. Darlene has been
featured in several publications, television programs, and online. |

As a contributing editor and writer for Yogi Times magazine, Darlene has written more than a dozen "Kids on the Mat" columns on such topics as yoga and AD/HD, childhood obesity, positive discipline, and childhood sleep disorders. She is also featured in the kids' yoga DVD Little Yoga, narrated by Gwyneth Paltrow. Formerly a media arts and literacy teacher, Darlene began teaching children yoga nearly ten years ago. Darlene teaches in the tradition of T. Krishnamacharya, having studied yoga for children and yoga therapy for special children with Krishnamacharya’s grandson, Kausthub Desikachar and with Gary Kraftsow and the American Viniyoga Institute. Prior to founding
Santa Monica based Kids' Yoga Circle in 2004, Darlene taught at some of the Los Angeles
area’s most celebrated yoga studios. Through Kids’ Yoga Circle, she
conducts kids’ classes and workshops, family retreats, and teacher
trainings worldwide. Kids' Yoga Circle’s Reach Out Program has been
implemented in schools, youth centers, and children’s hospitals. She is a registered practicing member in good standing of the International Yoga Association. In addition, Darlene is working on her Master's in counseling psychology.
